United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region presents Nonprofit Professional Development Training twice a year for all nonprofit professionals in our region as well as for their key volunteers. There is no charge to attend this virtual training, made possible through the support of Dutchess County Workforce Investment Board.

About the Presenters
kk naimool is Co-founder and Principal of Collective Justice Counseling. kk is a writer, activist, and educator living in Beacon, NY where they currently serve on the city's Human Rights Commission. kk naimool is a queer, non-binary Indo-Caribbean transplant passionate about creating safer spaces for all, and is an avid advocate for equity and justice, predominantly in the areas of Racial Justice, Gender Justice and LGBT Health Equity. They have over 2 decades of experience in working with trauma impacted communities and developing curricula for collective healing. kk has provided thousands of health and human service professionals with LGBTQ+ cultural humility trainings, and has worked with many other organizations on creating safer spaces for LGBTQ+ people and BIPOC communities (Black/Indigenous/People of Color).
Laura Brown-Rivera is a therapist, activist, educator, artist and community organizer- living and working in the Hudson Valley for nearly a decade. Laura is devoted to curating healing spaces that uplift the voices of Black/Indigenous/People of Color, women, and LGBTQI+ folks. Laura works as a multifaceted Social Worker, engaging community through community-based psychotherapy, educational advocacy, and youth leadership program development. Currently Laura is the Clinical Team Leader for Rockland County's Mobile Team, as well as the owner and proprietor of L.Y.T: Live Your Truth Therapeutic Services- providing psychotherapy, coaching, and professional consultation in the fields of DEI and I/O Psychology. Additionally, Laura has the honor of leading the Greater NY Planned Parenthood through a community restorative justice process by chairing their "Reviving Radical" Initiative.
Keith H. Green is an accomplished Senior Executive, Thought Leader, Speaker and Facilitator with more than 30 years of success in nonprofits and defense. Leveraging extensive experience in organizational administration and operations as well as direction of training programs and staff in not–for–profit, commercial, and industrial environments, he is a valuable asset for health and wellness companies or programs for education and children, of various sizes and stages of growth that are seeking expert assistance with project management, creating structure around human capital, staff development, strategic planning, or policy and practice development. His broad areas of expertise include board governance, strategy, strategic planning, business planning, and human resources.
As a veteran Board Member, Keith currently holds seats on the Board of Directors for University Hospital-Newark, Programs for Parents, Inc. and Boys to Leaders Foundation. He has served as a Member on dozens of community organizations, schools, and nonprofits. He holds a Bachelor of Science – HRM from the Union Institute & University and completed the Executive Leadership Program at UCLA as well as the Advanced Leadership Program with United Way Worldwide.
Gianna D'Ambrosio is a Group Accountant Representative & Retirement Consultant with Mutual of America, a financial company. Having started as a nonprofit, designed for nonprofits, almost 90% of Mutual of America's clients are nonprofits.
