Housing and Residence Life is charged with providing housing to undergraduate and graduate students. Their goal is to create safe, welcoming and engaging communities in order to meet the needs of the students. Additionally, Housing and Residence Life seeks to provide out of the classroom enrichment, education and responsible citizenship. They employ Resident Assistants as peer community leaders who not only uphold the standards of each community, but provide the above mentioned enrichment and education. RAs participate in a vigorous training process that focuses on the aspects of their job requirements and the skills necessary to serve as leaders in their future communities and employment fields. Additional funding would help Housing and Residence Life provide more dynamic and interactive training as well as purchasing programming materials for all students to utilize.
