$1,000 Match - sponsored by Paul Klatt The Osprey Web Cam Project Nest building and courtship feeding were among some of the details directly observed by students in the classroom. Eventually a variety of students enrolled in summer BIOL courses like BIOL 442, Ecology and BIOL 121 and 122, General Biology I and II observed egg-laying, incubation, hatching, and chick feeding behavior. To our surprise, the images reached out to more than just students enrolled in BIOL courses. It did more than bring the Osprey into our classrooms. It brought them into our lives. Recent repairs have all but emptied our account and we need funds to purchase a new camera and hookups and to pay outside contractors for a lift to gain access to the setup. The Osprey Web Cam Project is a true collaboration including people from Facilities, Welding, IT, and Biology. The 2024 viewing season will be our 16th year of operation and we could not have done any of it or continue to do so without the generous contributions of people just like you. Thank you for your love and support. https://osprey.ferris.edu/# Keep your eye on the birds.
Thank you for your generous support for the Plastics Engineering Technology program at Ferris State University. Our program is dedicated to providing students and faculty with invaluable opportunities for hands-on learning and professional development. Funds raised through this campaign will be used to fund student and faculty travel for field trips and plastics industry conferences. These experiences are essential for our students to gain real-world insights, network with industry professionals, and stay updated on the latest advancements in the industry. Funds from last year's campaign were used for three trips to Novi, Grand Rapids, and Newaygo, MI. Because of the donations, students did not have to pay anything out of pocket for these experiences. Your contribution will directly impact the success of our program and the future careers of our students. We deeply appreciate any amount you can give to help us continue to provide exceptional educational experiences. Thank you for your ongoing support of our program!

Dr Robert Ewigleben was president of Ferris State College from 1971-1984. After his retirement, Dr Ewigleben continued working in education, including being the leader of the feasibility study into creating the DCCL program. His support of the program was continued through the work of his children: Lynne Hernandez helped develop the curriculum and student support areas; Bob Ewigleben graduated with Cohort 1.
The success of the DCCL program has been in no small part to the founding director of the program, Dr. Roberta Teahen. Robbie’s passion and dedication to the development of this program were instrumental in its creation. Her commitment to the advancement of community colleges is evidenced by the impact she has made through the DCCL program.

¡Hola! This is Spanish Professor Eric Warner and I am helping our Ferris-Costa Rica Study Abroad 2024 group fundraise to support their experience! This year, we have a record number of students who will be Studying Abroad in Costa Rica with Prof. Lucero Flores-Páez, a Costa Rican instructor, and me! We seek help to defer costs for students during the educational 4-week Spanish Immersion program where students take classes at Academia Tica and live with Spanish-speaking host families. Additionally, any fundraising during One Day for Dawgs will support excursions to museums, a coffee plantation, the Pacific & Caribbean Coasts, Costa Rican businesses, and sustainable tourist locations in the Talamanca region with the Bribri tribe, etc. Your support helps us to keep costs accessible for all students so they can continue to learn Spanish, and about Latin American culture and society through the lens of Costa Rica! Our impact upon return will allow our students to apply bilingual skills and intercultural competencies in their communities and future careers! Go Bulldogs!!! ¡Mil gracias! y ¡Pura vida!

Studying abroad can be a life changing experience that deeply affects how an individual views the world and their future career. Students who study abroad obtain cross communication skills, gain new skills, network and connect for future employment, and learn more about themselves and the world around them. They then bring those new skills and perspectives back to the campus classroom and provide diverse perspectives. This fund will provide funding opportunities for students going to study abroad and looking to earn academic credit in the world classroom!

For many years, Theatre at Ferris State University has been an opportunity for students from many programs to come together and create memorable performances. Participating in these plays helps students develop communication skills, gives them experience in group projects and management, and is an opportunity to work with peers outside of their programs. It helps students strengthen the skills and confidence they will need in their future endeavors. It also builds lifetime friendships. Every year, approximately 200-300 students are directly involved in all aspects of our productions. We are proud of all of the shows that we have managed to create over the years. Many outstanding Theatre alums have succeeded in their variety of jobs including computer programming and design and as state troopers, nurses, doctors, professors, teachers and more. Help ensure that current and future FSU students continue to have the incredible experience of theatre production. On this One Day for Dawgs, consider making a gift to FSU Theatre.
